Working with Zamia

My goal is to find a realistic, sustainable and flexible training or nutrition program that fits into your current lifestyle.

Working out and eating right does not have to get in the way of your daily life. Achieving good human fitness doesn’t have to be interrupted by dinner with friends or travel. Together, we can address routines such as meal prep for you and your family, stress reduction, sleep hygiene (optimizing your sleep), pain management and training, regardless of location.

The more I understand you, the better I can facilitate the changes needed to reach your goals. All of my clients, from children to seniors, complete my initial questionnaire to provide us with a thorough understanding of your history, present-day, and future goals. Everyone’s life and body are unique…so is the strategy for their most successful change.

My role is to make this entire journey as simple as possible for you while being a constant source of support in a manner that fits your needs.

Testimonials

Zamia got me ready and pain free for those races but also helped with my overall fitness and nutrition. She was so patient as I gained more confidence in the gym.
— Tori, 25, California, Insurance Sales; In-Person Training
I am a 74 year old cancer survivor. The uniqueness of Zamia’s approach to fitness is her ability to communicate and integrate all aspects of the controllables involved in her client’s health and well-being...nutrition, stress, laughter, mindset, purposeful living, along with strength training and cardio fitness. An example of her unique integrative approach was her counseling with a local juice bar and health food shop to prepare a balanced liquid diet for my nutrition needs during my radiation and chemotherapy.
— Marty Fishman, 74, Retired Tax Attorney, Florida; In-Person Training
Zamia was incredible to work with. She customized my nutrition for what my body needed, but more importantly, she helped me understand my relationship with food and how to have the upper hand. I lost over 15 pounds and did it without counting calories or weighing food. I truly believe in her approach to helping her clients reach their goals!
— BJ Ketchem, 43, Head of Middle School, Virginia; Online Nutrition
At age 58, I had my very first introduction to a gym since I could not walk due to hip joint deterioration.  Zamia established a realistic program of stretching, strength training and all things related to physical health to bring me to a position of balance, strength and endurance.

This was all put to the test a few years later when I took a fall and fractured my humerus.  Zamia reached out to my physical therapist and coordinated an integrative plan in order for me to achieve full recovery, which was expedited given the solid base we had established.  I have indeed achieved a full recovery, again with Zamia’s expertise, commitment to wellness, and a heart as big as the moon.

Most recently, Zamia has designed a nutrition program to meet the needs of my age 65 body as it relates to the demands of my current fitness. Even today, after a good workout, thoughts about diet, managing stress or whatever I might be feeling, I can hear Zamia’s voice in the back of my head saying, ‘it’s all connected.’
— Carol Guerieri, 65, Disability Compliance Analyst, Florida; In-Person Training and Online Nutrition
I have the pleasure of working remotely with Zamia. She spent a large amount of time up front getting to know me, my injuries, my goals and what does and doesn’t work for me. Since our first discussion she’s designed 10 unique programs that are continuing to transform my body. Interesting fact though—I’ve never formally met Zamia in person. We’ve been connecting over FaceTime, text and email as well as the use of YouTube videos to show me proper form. I highly recommend her and her program if you want a positive change in your life.
